Tipperary County Council: The 80 to 60 km/h Motion and What Happened
The video embed is temporarily withheld while its closing text is corrected. A corrected text transcript and source links are provided below.
Independent family record about Tipperary County Council’s 14 October 2024 Motion 2861 on default speed limits. The motion was proposed by Niall Dennehy and seconded by Mairín McGrath; the October minutes record unanimous agreement, while December minutes record the agreed referral for legal advice. The rural-local-road default changed nationally from 80 to 60 km/h on 7 February 2025, and the Council’s March report records implementation in Tipperary. This film asks which dated assessments explain limits and signs on the Kilmoyler approach. It does not claim a site-specific limit, driving behaviour, fault, or collision causation. The real family road photograph was taken on 1 May 2025, after the crash. It is later local context, not meeting evidence; the bridge is not visible. Not Tipperary County Council’s official channel. Factual record. No finding of causation or responsibility is made here.
