Requests for lower limits formed part of Tipperary County Council’s October speed-limit debate. The 14 October 2024 minutes report that members referred to people in their areas seeking reductions, while also raising concerns about consultation with councillors. The recorded reply distinguished the rural-local-road phase from later phases requiring a wider review. District workshops were agreed before Phase 2. These are reports of local requests, not a countywide opinion survey or an assessment of the photographed road. The rural-local-road default later became 60 km/h on 7 February 2025.
